I got stranded during a layover in the Berlin airport en route to my spring break destination because the borders were suddenly closed without warning. I couldn't return to the city where I live because bus and train services had been suspended, and couldn't fly home to my parents in Colorado either, because flights to the United States had also been canceled. Somehow I escaped to a farm, where I waited for the virus to go away while gardening and feeding chickens.
