Great Burrito

Last night I dreamed that I was wandering the streets of NYC and they were empty. I had on a pair of stained grey sweat pants and a white tennis shirt that I still have in my closet from when I used to play, that I haven't worn in years, but stubbornly refuse to throw away, hoping that I will somehow be able to play again, even though I get tendonitis every time I try. That's how I knew it was a dream, I would never go out like that in real life, even if it was post- apocalyptic. I saw people rooting through large garbage bins and when I got close to one woman, she looked just like Nicole Wallace from MSNBC and she still had a little mic pinned to the front of her blouse. Next thing I knew I was walking down this dark alley. There were Latino men and woman leaning on he building walls, which were all crumbling and they were huddled over, and looked like they were eating something. They all looked at me a little suspiciously as I passed them but no one stopped me. When I got to the end of the alley I saw the wife and husband from my new favorite burrito place, Great Burrito, and they were making food on an outdoor grill. I ordered a carnitas burrito and chips but suddenly realized that I had no money. The wife recognized me and let me have the burrito anyway. I woke up and the only thing I could think of was that I hope my new little favorite Taqueria survives this business closure.
