He'll keep me safe

I'm with a lover. I don't know this lover except for this dream, but there's a pattern here: I've been dreaming a lot about the act of love, of being loved and held in some man's arms. In this dream, as we make love, my lover looks deep into my eyes and to say anything seems unnecessary. I feel protected. Then, I'm no longer with him. I'm inside a big building, a place that looks like a mall and that is on the brink of destruction. A monster is set on a rampage; a big, lizard-y creature that devours everyone. I'm inside an elevator, scared; then I'm out, running towards some shop left abandoned. I hide in there, in the storage, waiting. I can hear and feel the monster looking for me. Where's my lover? There he is, with me, holding my hand. He found me. He says he'll keep me safe and that we're going to get out of this. As I come to understand I'm having a dream, the dream stops. For the rest of my day, this dream follows me; I can still feel the touch of my lover's hand and I'm somehow filled with longing. Soon, the sensation is gone; soon, it's just a memory, one of many memories I have from dreams I've been dreaming during these strange weeks.
