I was getting ready for my high school reunion (which is not even scheduled), but needed emergency foot surgery. (I've never had any kind of surgery). The doctors cut my feet open and put pennies in all the incisions before sewing them back up and wrapping them in bandages. I then went home and put on my fancy black cocktail dress and went to the reunion. Somewhere through the night, I looked down and was horrified to see the bandages were all bloodied.
