Screens

I was walking down a busy city street on a sunny breezy afternoon. I felt light and happy. But as I looked at the faces of all the people I passed, their heads were all computer screen images, still talking and emoting but flat and distant. I stopped moving and the screens started swirling around me. I felt separated from people, lonely and anxious.
